The Iron Maiden, by Night in Gales
With "The Iron Maiden", NIGHT IN GALES return to their roots while connecting past and present. This upcoming 7" vinyl is more than a cover release - it captures an important chapter from the early days of German melodic death metal.
Between 1995 and 1996, their version of Iron Maiden was a regular part of the live set. Back then, with only the material from the Sylphlike demo MCD available, cover songs helped extend their shows and became a key part of the band’s early energy and ambition.
The B-side looks back as well: "A Spark In The Crimson Eclipse" was one of the band’s first original songs, written shortly after "Sylphlike" in 1995/96. Together with "Iron Maiden", it soon became a live favorite. Both tracks later appeared on the strictly limited "Razor" 7" in 1996, now a cult release among longtime fans. The song was rerecorded for the sold-out 2020 studio album Dawnlight Garden.
Now these pieces of history return in a limited edition of only 300 copies on black/red “Corona” 7" vinyl. The color design matches the dark, detailed artwork by Simon Bossert, making this a highly collectible release.
This special release from Night In Gales pays tribute to their origins - honest and deeply rooted in the spirit of where it all began. Out July 10, 2026! 1 Comments 69 Likes

The Dance of Tragedies, by Maladie
With Maladie’s new album "The Dance of Tragedies", the collective continues to refine and expand their distinctive vision of “plague metal” - a sound that resists categorization while remaining unmistakably their own.
Once again, MALADIE move beyond conventional structures, embracing a form of composition that feels fluid, dynamic and deliberately unpredictable. The album unfolds as a cohesive work rather than a collection of isolated tracks, guided by contrasts between intensity and restraint, chaos and control. Layers of atmosphere intertwine with intricate arrangements, creating a sonic landscape that is both immersive and unsettling.
With this release, MALADIE reaffirm their position as one of the most uncompromising and distinctive acts in extreme music.
